NEET 2019 Medical Entrance Exam Information

If you want to be a doctor you should have an idea about NEET. NEET 2019 is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It will be held in 1st week of May 2019for admission to MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota in Government medical and dental colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir. Many State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participate in the NEET 2019 and also accept its merit list to offer admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.

As per the last order by Hon. Supreme Court, no other exam except NEET will be held for offering admission into MBBS/BDS courses in India from the year 2019 (except AIIMS & JIPMER). All seats (MBBS/BDS) of any medical/dental college will be filled by the score of NEET examination only.

NEET 2019 can be written in 8 regional languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.

All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of NEET 2019, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for NEET 2019. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records.

NEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

Salient Features of NEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria are given below:

  • Candidates must complete 17 years age as on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on December 31 of the year of the entrance examination. However, a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit of candidates belonging from Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes is entertained to them.
  • Students who have appeared for the intermediate examination and result is awaited, are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Examinees should have passed the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English in the qualifying exam by securing 50% marks (For SC, ST & OBC Category 40% ) and their equivalency determined as per regulations of Medical Council of India and the concerned university.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern:

NEET 2019 exam will be held based on the syllabus as prescribed by examination authority CBSE. The NEET 2019 exam will have a total of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry Zoology and Botany subjects. The question paper will carry of 720 marks. Important points of NEET 2019 Exam Pattern, which are given below:

  • NEET 2019 Question Booklet will be of 3 sets
  • The questions will be framed from high school and intermediate (first and second year) syllabus.
  • Each question will carry four marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

How to fill NEET 2019 Application Form?

The application form of NEET 2019 will be available tentatively in 2018, November 1st. Candidate should submit the application form throughout On-line mode only. The application fee for NEET 2019 will be approx. Rs-750/ for SC/ST/PH Candidates & Rs- 1400/ for OBC/General candidates. NEET 2019 Application fees can be deposited throughout Credit /Debit Card / Challan. The last date of online registration is tentatively last week of January 2019.

The filled Application Form along with other documents, if any, should be sent to the following address- THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY (EXAM), NEET UNIT, CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, SHIKSHA KENDRA, 2, COMMUNITY CENTRE, PREET VIHAR, DELHI - 110 092 by Registered Post/Speed Post only so as to reach completely by last date(s) of receipt of application form according to the fee paid.

NEET 2019 Admit Card / Hall Ticket:

Candidates can Download their NEET 2019 admit card by April 1st week of, 2019. NEET Admit Card 2019 shall mention important details of the candidate, including his/her name, roll number, exam centre /venue, and reporting time at allotted exam centre.

NEET 2019 Result:

The NEET result 2019 for qualifying candidate will be declared by June 2019 depend on availability of seats, number of applicants, and toughness level of the entrance examination.NEET 2019 Result will be published on official page of NEET, i.e. www.aipmt.nic.in around month of June, 2019.

NEET 2019 Counselling:

After publication of NEET 2019 Result counselling will be organised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
